Romtin Shaaban-Khamseh, MPT, Specialized Honours BSc. Kin.
Registered Physiotherapist
Romtin graduated from Western University with a Master of Physical Therapy in 2015 and prior to that, from York University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology.
Over his years of studying health and working with his clients, Romtin has grown an appreciation for the holistic nature of human function and form. As such, he strives to restore balance throughout the body in order to optimize function. After a thorough assessment, Romtin uses a combination of therapeutic exercises, soft tissue and joint mobilizations, acupuncture/dry needling, and taping with the ultimate goal of getting his patients back to doing the things that are important to them.
Romtin is a graduate of the ConnectTherapy™ Series- a whole-body assessment and treatment framework. The ConnectTherapy™ approach is designed to identify and address the areas of the body that are causing non-optimal movement and pain.
Romtin is currently in his 5th year of studies at The Sutherland-Chan School of Osteopathy (formerly The Canadian College of Osteopathy). Here, he has gained even more tools to treat holistically, like cranio-sacral and visceral manipulation.
When he’s not focusing on the health and wellbeing of his clients, Romtin likes to spend his time watching basketball, trading stocks, and meditating.
Shannon’s journey with movement began on the ice as a competitive figure skater and Skate Canada coach. While coaching, she pursued studies in Fitness Business and Kinesiology, becoming a certified personal trainer. Her passion for helping athletes move and recover led her to Toronto, where she worked with high-level athletes and later became a physiotherapist assistant. After breaking her back, Shannon faced a long and difficult recovery. When traditional methods weren’t enough, she turned to Pilates—breaking down each movement, rebuilding her strength, and eventually returning to the ice, the clinic, and even having her two children. This experience deepened her belief in movement as a tool for healing and inspired her to become a comprehensively trained Pilates instructor, ELDOA teacher, and stretch therapist. Shannon believes in the power of movement to restore strength, balance, and confidence. Her approach is thoughtful and intuitive, helping clients reconnect with their bodies in a way that feels natural and empowering. She encourages mindful movement, meeting each person where they are, and creating space for strength, ease, and longevity.
